Sevylor's premium tandem model is the Sevylor Charleston. What sets this aside from other models in the range is in the materials and construction methods. To offer good on-water performance, the floor in the Charleston is drop-stitched to increase the rigidity, and to prevent the kayak from flexing and bending (an issue with inferior inflatables). The main construction material is a heavy-duty, reinforced PVC making the Charleston extremely robust and heard-wearing.
The kayak paddles well, and is stable, tracks well (especially when the removable fin is used) and is well suited for most inland waterways and also sheltered coastline/beaches. The 2x comfortable seats can be configured to provide either a tandem kayak or a single-seat solo kayak. Other features include 4x carrying handles and bow/stern bungee storage areas. The side carrying handles also double up as holders when the paddles aren't in use. The Sevylor Charleston is supplied with a waterproof transport/carrying bag, which has rucksack style carrying straps for ease of use.
